The association was established in 2009 as a voluntary association and is in a network with other associations working on the topics of emergency psychology, support for migrants, asylum seekers and refugees,
defence of human rights and cooperation. Its statute states that the association is non-partisan, non-denominational, democratically structured and non-profit. Inspired by the principles of social solidarity it aims to promote human rights and the development of civic engagement, with a focus on issues relating to mental health and the promotion of psychological wellbeing in communities. The association mainly includes members with experience and expertise in the field of psychology, in the various fields of the discipline, with particular reference to community psychology, intercultural dialogue, childhood and learning issues.
